The CRNA’s Business Continuity program outlines the College’s response to an unplanned crisis or disaster, ensuring that critical business functions are maintained and restored while minimizing loss or damage to the College’s facility, resources, and operations. Above all else, the top priority of any incident response is to ensure the health and wellness of staff, registrants, and the public.
Effective business continuity management involves defining potential risks and having plans to identify and address potential crises before they happen. The College maintains five documents that each address a specific aspect of business continuity:
For more information on these five documents, see Framework.
Business continuity management is critical to ensuring the College is protected from serious disruptions that can impact its ability to achieve strategic goals and objectives. Regulatory activities would not be possible without first ensuring that employees are safe, facilities are prepared for emergencies, critical business functions are documented, and technology infrastructure is secure and backed up.
